First if you ask me, if you could have one wish what would you wish for? I would answer
Pigs. (And of course, world peace and caring people.)
If you want a pig, you should decide which type of pig. There are two main types, first you have your common farm pig you know the 900lb pigs. Then you have your potbelly pig, they are smaller than your farm pig. Potbelly pigs range from 80 to 200lbs.
When you have pigs, you must keep them happy. One way you could start that is to put in a doggie door. Doggie doors are essential. You need to give your pig option, in or out. You should also have a shady place outside. You also should have a plastic toddler pool; you need to give an opsonin for your pig to cool off.
Pigs have very sensitive skin, so that means shade is necessary for pigs. Pigs roll around it mud to cool off. It also doubles as a sunscreen.
Another good thing that you need is a litter box, just don’t use kitty litter, pigs EAT it! You could use shredded newspaper or articles. Get creative!
Pigs are curios so take the time to pig proof the house like for example keep your pig away from outlets or extension cords, they could try to eat them and get electrocuted! Also, block off treat cabinets because your pig could break into the treat cabinet.
Pigs can be trained. For example, pigs can skateboard, paint, play a video game and much more!
Pigs are omnivores like most humans. There are specific kinds of pig food, but you could give your pig leftovers, fruit, veggies, nuts and much more!
Like I mentioned before, pigs are incredibly smart. For example, once a pig named Lulu saw that her caretaker was having a heart attack so squeezed thought a tiny doggie door leaving scrapes on her belly. Then she ran to the middle of the road. A passing neighbor saw Lulu in the street and ran to Lulu’s caretaker and saw that Lulus caretaker was having a heart attack and saved her!
If you are considering adopting a potbelly you should consider getting more than one because pigs are a strong extravert. They have empathy and cry real tears!
It might take a long time to get a pig so plan for the road ahead.
